Three Function Rooms. One Location.

Located in the heart of downtown Worcester is The Citizen. The vintage charm of the building is present everywhere you look: arched door ways, floor to ceiling windows, rich wood work, and brick walls lit by candle light. The focus of the menu is cheese, chocolate, and entrees featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. In addition to signature craft cocktails, our wine program was awarded a Wine Spectator’s 2017 Award of Excellence!

This unique venue features three private party rooms. The Executive Room is tucked away on the second floor of the restaurant and holds up to 35 guests. The quiet room is classically elegant, featuring round tables and white linens. It is perfect for intimate dinner parties, business meetings, as well as rehearsal dinners.

The Front Room is also located on the second floor of the restaurant, but is larger than The Executive Room, accommodating 60 guests. It features wood walls, white linens, and a mix of square and round tables. It is separated from the dining room by a cozy hallway, making it the perfect place to host a surprise party!

Last, but certainly not least, is the Patio. This gorgeous atrium is lit by stringed lights, features a retractable roof, and is surrounded by brick walls. At the beginning of the summer, we were lucky enough to host our Director of Human Resources Nancy Defina’s daughter’s wedding. From the lights, to the cuisine, to the open roof exposing the tall brick walls of the historic building, she said, “I felt as if we were in the middle of Boston or New York City. It was a night I will always cherish.” We love that we will always have a role in their fairy tale!

Of all the restaurants with party rooms in the city, you will not find one with the rustic charm of The Citizen. For more information about booking a private event with us, please go to Private Functions.
