Portugal is best known for its Port wines coming from grapes grown along the Duoro River. Recently there has been a growing popularity in the market for the whites that come from the Vinho Verde region. With crisp and fresh acidity, but complex aromatics, these whites make great wines to go with food. It’s not a surprise that the reds are also starting to sneak their way into the wine community here in the States. We will be showcasing whites and reds from this region paired with Chef’s 4 courses inspired by the local Portuguese cuisine.
